ADIB (ASSOLO DI BONGO)
2006 , ITALY - EURO 13.50

ALBUM REVIEW
The four members of this young Italian band were previously known as ASSOLO DI BONGO, responsible for an excellent album released in the year 2001. Today converted as ADIB, the group published its brand new album "Spinning Like A Top" (2006) on the Musea label. It is composed of eight instrumental pieces, with a lot of additionnal instruments, such as cello, various horns and percussions. This magnum opus showcases a fully original rock music, mixing Progressive rock influences with jazz, rock and blues to create a personal alchemy. This brand of jazz-rock fusion surely recalls the AREA school (DEUS EX-MACHINA and D.F.A.), as well as the craziness of a certain Frank ZAPPA. The compositions thus have the ADIB landmark, revealing an original music, intense, concise and dynamic, with surprising melodies and musical ideas. (Musea)
