Opus is perhaps the most 'progressive' of the Yleclipse chemical trilogy. The cd features eight tracks, recorded between november 2004 - march 2005, the which lyrics focus on the state of 'albedo' representing a spiritual and musical rebirth. Structures and chordal textures have increased their complexity, as well as the vocal efforts, and clearly mark the trip taken by the band into wider musical areas. Acoustic guitars in irish tuning, hammond, flutes, acid and grunting guitars, often enriched with ambient effects to dub swirling rythmical lines, make of Opus the most colourful and imaginative Yleclipse record.
