ALBUM REVIEW
Gullibles Travels is the second release from this Scottish progressive group. As with their first album, they are clearly influenced by Genesis, but they are also developing their own sound on this release. It is a significantly shorter album, running less than 38 minutes. There are 6 songs on the album; my favorites include "The Pretender", "The Unholy War", the title track "Gullibles Travels", and "Dream Away" which is the best example of how they are developing their own sound. The lineup has changed for this album. Hugh Carter moved outside of the role of musician, although he was still involved with the band during this period and co-wrote the title track. Gordon Mackie took over on Bass Guitar, and Paul Kelly joined handling the guitar and vocals, replacing Alan Reed and Malky McNiven. (RYM)
