Rob has had over ten solo albums and many with rock band Land Of Yrx and this is his first for the label. A brilliant guitarist on acoustic, electric and bass, he is helped out by keyboard/percussion man David Gate and other guests. Rob’s guitar playing is not of the “how many notes can I get in” approach but shows great emotion and suspense building on the lovely themes. A cross between Anthony Phillips / symphonic Enid / Gordon Giltrap / Mike Oldfield and even Penguin Café Orchestra. A great guitarist whose work I have admired for a long time – and now make available to a greater audience. (Cyclops)
