ALBUM REVIEW
YOLE is the name of a young French band that uses, aside from the usual rock instruments plus keyboards, a whole array of traditional instruments such as the sitar, the flute and the tablas. The group has created his own brand of ethnic Progressive rock, influenced on one hand by the masters of the Seventies (GENESIS, CAMEL, FOCUS...), and on the other hand by Indian and Eastern music. Published in the year 2006 on the Musea Parallèle label, the eleven pieces of the first album "Lead Us Away" reveal beautiful atmospheres and multiple sonic effects, not unlike the Seventies French band PULSAR. The backing vocals (Both female and male) and the intriguing flute parts are the main components of a suggestive music, full of mystery and melancholy, that truly captures the Seventies' musical spirit. Let's also note that the singing is in perfect English. (Musea)
