ALBUM REVIEW
Tai Phong is a french band born in Paris neighbours by the meeting of singer-guitarist Jean Jacques Goldman with two vietnamese origin brothers named Khanh (vocals, guitar) and Tai (vocals, bass). This symphonic progressive outfit, whose name means Great Wind, released its first and same album in 1975. I synthetically describe it as a mix of nice pop oriented songs which suddenly explode in breathtaking long instrumental keyboards/guitars dominated excurtions. Even though sometimes they might seem quite easy don't get fooled about it as they undoubtedly are skilful players offering complex guitar riffs as well as dreaming and melancholic atmospheres based on spacey keyboards. Highly recommended to the fans of Pink Floyd, Camel, Genesis, Focus and Premiata Forneria Marconi. (Eventyr).
