Released in 1969, at the peak of the 'counterculture' revolution, this was the very first Amon Düül recording. The music reflects the times: experimental, freeform, improvised. Shortly afterwards, the group split into two fractions: Amon Düül 1 and Amon Düül 2, the first one formed by the more radical artists while the second by the more 'musically' oriented players. This album represents a milestone in German rock.
