ALBUM REVIEW
LONDON UNDERGROUND, it’s four experienced italian musicians, who played for a lot of bands in studio sessions; some of them were in the neo-psyché band STANDARTE, and established a strong cult following in Japan, Germany, England,… “Through A Glass Darkly” is L.U.’s second album, in a more early-seventies progressive manner. Their sound is what you can expect: hammond organ (lot of solis…), piano, vocals on the foreground, coupled with a nice rhythm section, and a very groovy guitar. With sax, flute, female vocals as guests, London Underground creates 11 nice and concise prog’ songs. It will remind you the Canterbury movement, the early Pink Floyd and Genesis, and the italian progressive bands of the seventies, a bit like the band Men of Lake. Their beautiful melodies and ability to re-create the seventies atmosphere is incredible!
