Slide guitarist Jimmy Agren with a fine collection of Beefheart influenced pieces, wonderfully played. He's also a mean harmonica player, manodolinist, sometime percussionist and singer. Guests include Mats Oberg and Morgan Agren (whose drumming on this record is frighteningly good), and vocalists Freddie Wadling and Magnus Olsson. Beautifully deployed additive rhythms, always moving, with nothing extraneous or unnecessary. This is an impressive, world-class record that rips from start to finish.
