ALBUM REVIEW
Jimmy plays most of the instruments (scarily well) himself, with guests on three of the pieces, including amongst them the never less than impressive Morgan Agren). Rooted in the Blues - but blues just as likely in 5s and 7s as 4s - with a strong Beefheartian edge, there is as much virtuoso slide and guitar, quiet complexity, expressive playing and driving rhythm as anyone has a right to expect.
