ALBUM REVIEW
For the first time Caravan’s 1980’s output has been digitally remastered and sonically enhanced. The legendary Canterbury group had taken a three year sabbatical in 1977 following a string of innovative and legendary albums such as “If I Could Do It All Over Again, I’d Do It All Over You”, “In The Land of Grey and Pink”, “For Girls Who Grow Plump in the Night”, “Cunning Stunts” and “Blind Dog at St. Dunstan’s”. With a line-up of Pye Hastings, Richard Coughlan, Dave Sinclair, Geoffrey Richardson and Dek Messecar, the band returned to the studio in the Summer of 1980 to record “The Album” for Kingdom Records. The Eclectic Discs reissue includes two bonus tracks in the form of the single version of “Heartbreaker” and “It’s Never Too Late”.
