This was the first Brand X LP to include a shameless bid for a hit single, with vocals by Phil. The two tracks in question, "Don't Make Waves" and "Soho," are both equally banal, repetitive toss-offs that marr an otherwise brilliant, expansive and diverse work of fusion. Sorry about the stab, John, but it had to be said. The instrumental work is at least as entertaining and well-conceived as any of the band's previous material, if not at times more so (http://www.pyoing.net/brandx/)
