VU METERS’ DARK CITY is an instrumental musical journey born from the meeting of three musicians with similar and different experiences. The trio line-up is formed by Ugo Vantini on drums (already with progressive rock bands such as Divae, Il Balletto di Bronzo, Ezra Winston and heavy rock blues band Twin Dragons), Stefano Pontani on guitar, loops (already with Ezra Winston too but also with jazz fusion outfit Anagramma and as a soundtrack composer along with Matilda Mothers Project) and Fabrizio Santoro on bass, guitar, keyboards (involved in the progressive rock field with Nodo Gordiano and Oak). A fascinating effort showing contemporary rock elements and experimental influences as well as refined ambient moments. Ref. King Crimson, Robert Fripp, David Torn.
