Remaster of the the band's darkest album from 1976. Originally this was intended to be the last GFR album (although the band reunited to record the album 'Good Singin' Good Playin' just so they could work with Frank Zappa) The album has an edge as the effects of touring and recording for many years had taken their toll. This album at times (lyrically) could rival the darkest moments of Black Sabbath! and the production is particularly solid as the instrumental performances are tight. The band even tried their hand at country rock on the beautiful "Sally". Strong guitar workouts and sharp rhythms made the Funk feel alive. Includes 3 Bonus tracks and an expanded booklet to round the package off. (Freak Emporium)
