The name Karfagen (which means ‘Karthago’) was first heard in 1997, when Ukrainian Antony Kalugin (keyboards, sampling, percussion, vocals) founded the band at school. He composed and performed on more than 40 albums that were released in Russia and Ukraine, enabling him to save enough money to record the first Karfagen album with some close friends last year. “Continium” is released by Unicorn Digital and contains 9 instrumental tracks plus 1 vocal track, “Close To Heaven”, coming last. Nothing special, but a pleasant album to listen to while doing other things. (rockreport.de)
