ALBUM REVIEW
The new project jointly published by the Musea label and the finnish magazine Colossus is called GIALLO !, and subtitled "One Suite For The Murderer". That Progressive rock concept-album has been inspired by the famous film by Dario ARGENTO called "Deep Red" (1975). The story has been divided in three chapters, and each band participating has chosen one, to make a suite inspired by it. Add to this a short "intro" and "outro" performed by Alfio COSTA on keyboards. The latter is also featured in the first track, performed by DARK SESSION, an offshoot of the Italian band TILION. LEVIATHAN and FLOATING SPACE are the two other artists featured in this disc. As ever, the total length of each suite is about 20 to 25 minutes, the sound palette is clearly influenced by the Italian School of the Seventies (IL BALETTO DI BRONZO, UN BIGLIETTO PER L'INFERNO...), and the original keyboards (Hammond organ, Moog, Mellotron, Fender Rhodes, Grand Piano...) rule the world here.
