Insanely beautiful album. Kayak is considered to be a prog rock band, but the new album Coming Up for Air has absolutely nothing to do with prog. Fortunately this doesn't mean that Coming Up for Air would be less good than any previous Kayak albums. On the contrary, Coming Up for Air is one of the best Kayak albums I have heard. Good music is good music, no matter which genre it represents. Speaking of genres, my father would assuredly call the music of Coming Up for Air as "musical". And I do admit that some of the songs - "What I'm About to Say" and "Coming Up for Air", for example - remind me of musicals, but in a good way. If this album actually was a soundtrack of a musical, it would easily be the best musical of all time. Don't believe me? Well, I guess then you just have to listen to the album by yourself.
