Officina Meccanica from Rome had several single releases in the seventies. Unfortunately they never released a proper LP. This CD contains their best singles and 5 tracks never listened before (3 of them are over 10 minute long suites!!) and that where planned for an LP release. Musically Officina Meccanica play a very theatrical, dramatic and complex Mediterranean prog like Osanna or Semiramis, but with a large use of horns that can remind Van der Graaf Generator. "La follia del mimo di fuoco" (The madness of the fire mime) is a wonderful and truly unique container of progressive ideas housed in the usual deluxe papersleeve with a huge booklet full of unreleased pics and an extensive band history.
