1st album by the legendary Graham Bond Organization and Colosseum saxophonist Dick Heckstall-Smith recorded with a stellar cast of the most talented UK Jazz and Jazz-Rock musicians, shortly after Colosseum Mk. I was disbanded. The stellar cast includes vocalists Paul Williams and Chris Farlowe, guitarists Caleb Quaye and Chris Spedding, bassist Mark Clarke, drummers Bob Tait and Jon Hiseman, keyboardists Dave Greenslade, Gordon Beck and Graham Bond. Heckstall-Smith composed all the wonderful music recorded here. Sadly almost forgotten, this is a superb piece of music, with fabulous tunes and some most creative playing with plenty of breathtaking solos. This expanded edition includes 3 live tracks and a couple of studio tracks from the unreleased follow-up project with the band Manchild. What a joy to see this long time unavailable album to be back in circulation, especially in view of Dick's death in 2004. A must! (Jazzis - Rate Your Music)
