ALBUM REVIEW
1979 was obviously the year that prog rock died, thanks to punk, new wave, and disco. There are the few diehards that made excellent prog even in to the early '80s (like some of the prog acts from Germany, France, and Spain, like Crack, Eloy, Asia Minor, etc.). But SFF's third and final album (although Führs & Fröhling, without Schicke, would make albums up until 1981) Ticket to Everywhere demonstrated that this band had reached a dead-end. The music simply lacks the inspiration of their previous albums. It's like many prog rock bands in 1979 not willing to pander to the new musical trends of the time. It's not a bad album, but just lacks the freshness of their previous albums. It's obviously much better to get Symphonic Pictures and Sunburst first, those are essential albums as far as I'm concerned. (Proghead72 - Rate Your Music)
