Aphrodite's Child "It's five o'clock" is such a continuation of the "End of the world"s psychedelia, having in the imposing Demis Roussos' pseudo tenor falsetto a distinctive seal, and two highlights in the melodic title track and the preciously oneiric "Annabella". This record is as interesting and fresh as "End of the world", featuring already some incursions into country music or the funk, Vangelis, Roussos & Sideras undoubtedly were talented personages, with fluid skills for the compelling songwriting, and delivered some fine songs more here, namely the upbeat "Good time so fine" and the beautiful ¿bolero? "Marie Jolie". "It's five o'clock" is a suave, acidic psychedelia's work, enhanced with a taste for the song in itself, and for the sake of it; a band that would throw a couple of stellar solo careers, and an ambitious art rock album (666) in the 70s.
