ALBUM REVIEW
The Hawkwind 1990's version, and graced with female vocalist –Bridgett Wishart-, released this interesting LP (in the vinyl format yet: around 40 minutes of running time), where are explored the psychedelica, the space rock, and some free-form electronic music, also. "Space bandits" is quite more listener-friendly than other records they produced, deeper into the 90s, including a trancey track with a native American speech –Sioux-: "Black Elk speaks". Probably the other remarkable track is the extensive and first one: "Images", with some room for the aural exploration. A pretty fine record to listen to, and with the injection of fresh blood, thanks to the feminine vocalisations: the line-up was completed with, obviously, Dave Brock on guitars, Harvey Bainbridge on keys, Alan Davey and Richard Chadwick on bass & drums respectively; and the collaboration of Simon House on violin. Adequate album for an ultra modern Hawkwind's era: the 90s, though the band doesn't sound so appealing as in the 80s here. (death_metal_doll - Rate Your Music)
