Imagine what would happen if you combine the late '70s punk rock sound with the space rock sound of Gong and this is what you get! Lots of vocals with the heavy British accent you come to expect with British punk, with lyrics on themes of anarchy, but with lengthy jams, Steve Hillage-like guitars, glissando guitars that sounds like they came off Gong's You, and plenty of spacy Tim Blake-like synthesizers. Pretty bizarre combination that's certain not to please purists on the prog or punk spectrum, but I am actually surprised how well this works! Apparently this band had backed up Daevid Allen, so this band does have Gong connections. In fact Here & Now's guitarist Steffi Sharpstrings ended up joining Gong in a '90s version because Steve Hillage himself was concentrating on his techno outfit 777/System 7.
