ARPIA is an Italian band created in the year 1984, made of singer-multi-instrumentalist Leonardo BONETTI, guitarist Fabio BRAIT and drummer Aldo ORAZI. This ambitious concept-album adapts and recreates a novel written by Leonardo BONETTI. Here's an unusual line-up, incuding a female singer and acoustic guitars, for a music free of electric chords, becoming more and more symphonic with the use of keyboards in the second half of the album. ARPIA's music is difficult to compare with any other. Unquiet harmonies and atmospheres may recall KING CRIMSON, the acoustic works of Peter HAMMILL, or even BANCO DEL MUTUO SOCCORSO and the Italian School of Progressive rock, with Italian lyrics and singing.
