T.PHAN is the new project of Stéphan CAUSSARIEU, the historical drummer from TAI PHONG. Those are two names sounding similar, and it's certainly not by chance ! For those who don't know, this French band from the second half of the Seventies, apart from having revealed great artists such as Jean-Jacques GOLDMAN (One of the most respected singer-songwriters in France) and Welsh guitarist Michael JONES, made a huge hit with "Sister Jane". But this wouldn't be fair not to mention that this major group knew how to create quality melodic rock, sung in English, not so far away from the Progressive rock standards set by YES or PINK FLOYD. Thirty years later, T.PHAN took what's needed to continue the story, with and album named "Last Warrior" (2009). Published on the Musea label, it will surely delight the fans from the beginning, as well as gaining new ones. Here you're going to find great melodies, some beautiful guitar solos, a tasty jazz-rock fusion touch, a couple of catchy lines here and there, splendid instrumental parts... And surprisingly enough, you'll also find experimental sequences, showcasing the dark side of the band. (Musea)
