Esoteric Recordings announce the first ever CD release of a true gem of an album by SPEEDY KEEN. Perhaps best known for being the vocalist, writer and drummer with Thunderclap Newman (for whom he wrote the classic Something in the Air ), Keen was also the writer of Armenia City in the Sky on THEWHO s Sell Out album. Following the demise of Thunderclap Newman in 1970, Keen amassed a new collection of songs and recorded the album PreviousConviction for Track Records in 1972 1973.Featuring guests such as guitarist JIMMY McCULLOCH, the album continued to demonstrate Keen s ability as a writer of charming and quirky songs that had been in evidence on his work with Thunderclap Newman such as Let Us In, Keep Your Head Down, Keep on the Grass and Lesliana.Never before released on CD, this Esoteric Recordings edition offers the chance to discover a genuine lost classic of an album
