2008 was Pendragon's 30th Anniversary. It is truly a testament to this tenacious band's staying power band that they have remained at the forefront of the rock/progressive rock genre for so long. Having just completed probably their most succesful ever tour, comprising a 30 date European tour in in Oct 2008, the band now release probably their most groundbreaking and defining album so far. It is indeed rare for a band that have been going for 30 years to come out with new music that sounds as fresh as the day they appeared on the scene, and this is precisely what Pendragon have done with Pure. Combining moments of face melting metallic guitar riffs through to heartrending melancholic melodies Pendragon are set to reach a huge potential new audience with Pure and satisfy the old at the same time. In the last few years Pendragon have revved up the touring machine with astonishing perfomances at Loreley festival with Jethro Tull+ Fish, and plan even more festivals appearances and live shows through 2009.
