Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce a newly remastered and expanded CD edition of the wonderful 1981 album by JIM CAPALDI, LET THE THUNDER CRY. Recorded after soon after THE SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS (also released on Esoteric Recordings) the album included the classic tracks FAVELLA MUSIC, CHILD IN THE STORM, WE DON’T NEED and the album title track. Jim engaged the services of such musicians as STEVE WINWOOD, SIMON KIRKE, REEBOP KWAAKU BAH and PETE BONAS to produce one of his most enduring albums. This Esoteric Recordings reissue has been remastered from the original master tapes and includes three bonus tracks, including two previously unreleased recordings. The reissue includes a booklet that fully restores all original album artwork and features a new essay.
